Dr. Akram Hussain

Dr. Akram Hussain is a dedicated and patient-focused physician currently welcoming new patients at Queen Medical Centre in Windsor, Ontario. He brings a diverse international background in acute and primary care medicine, grounded in rigorous training and clinical practice overseas and now serving the Windsor-Essex community.

Dr. Hussain completed his medical training and General Practice (GP) specialty training in Scotland, working extensively within the NHS primary care and acute care system, including training placements in Emergency Medicine and General practice across West Scotland (Ayrshire/Arran). During his time in the UK he also held leadership roles representing GP trainees at the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP).

With experience in both emergency departments and community-based care, Dr. Hussain provides comprehensive medical services for patients of all ages — from acute and minor illnesses to ongoing chronic care management, preventive health, and continuity of care. He is multilingual and able to communicate with patients in English, Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi supporting culturally sensitive care. We also have a pharmacy team who are fluent in Arabic and can help you translate.

At Queen Medical Centre, Dr. Hussain offers patient-centered consultations, timely access to appointments, and evidence-based treatment plans. Most services are covered by OHIP, and no referral is needed for clinic care.
